When creating a meal plan for the month I always include easy casserole or quick one dish meals. This is usually the method I use when preparing a rice dish.
I also love the fact that I can prepare dinner first thing in the morning, cover with tinfoil and place in the refrigerator until dinner time. One dish meals are also a great way for my husband to fix dinner if I’m not going to be home.
Campbell’s Kitchen has some of the best recipes and most are printed right on the Campbell’s cream soup cans.
My favorite dinner casserole consist of basic, cheap ingredients that are usually right in my cupboard. Simple ingredients such as:

can of cream soup – different varieties available depending on meal

rice or pasta – don’t use instant rice, trust me the results will not be the same
-
water – now nothing is cheap than water
-
meat – I use either chicken or tune in my one dish meals but anything is possible
-
seasons – I usually use paprika and salt -n- pepper or an all season salt
