Red Beans in a Crockpot

Crockpot meals is not only the easiest way to prepare a meal but one of the cheapest.

Cooking beans in the crockpot will not only save time but the end results will have better texture and taste.

Red Beans in a Crockpot

Prep: 15 minutes

Cook: 6-8 hours

Meal Preparation Ingredients:

  • 16 ounces kidney beans
  • 1 large bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 small carrot, finely sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
  • 3 tablespoons parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper

Meal Preparation Directions:

  1. Put everything in the crock pot on high heat.
  2. Cook on high, covered for 6-10 hours. Check liquid level, adding water if needed to cover the beans.
  3. You can add ham or beef to complete the meal.

Meal Assembly:

ServesĀ 20 – serve with a dinner salad and some fresh dinner rolls for a complete healthy dinner.

Tip: Double the ingredients for a make ahead freezer meal!
